In the context of German-Palestinian Technical Cooperation, GTZ has been commissioned by the
German Government to implement the second phase of the

“Water Program “
To support the Program Team at the Water Program in Ramallah and Nablus we are looking for an
“Administrative Assistant”
A. Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for
-General clerical services in Solid Waste and Water Programme office
-Assisting in the tasks of the administration officer and financial officer according to his/her specific instructions,
-Support concerning the filing of documents and brochures according to GTZ procedures
-Assist in keeping library of Water and Solid Waste Programme updated.
-Flexibility in time and work place expected.
Within this context, s/he fulfils the following tasks:
B. Tasks
Clerical Services
-Ensures the availability of necessary office supplies in Nablus office
-Executes small purchases of office equipment and material if required
-Reports damages to administration, organises and follows-up the proper maintenance and repair of office equipment
Support to Administrative and Financial Experts
-Makes photocopies and scans documents if and when required
-Compiles and organises information materials
-Labels files and files documents according to GTZ filing system
-Fills lists and tables according to the specific instructions of the administrative expert
-Assists in preparing travel expense calculations
-Assists the financial Officer if required
-Maintains record of service requests
-Supports the logistics for workshops and meetings if required
General Duties
-Messenger services such as payment of bills, delivery of documents, and picking up of documents
C. Other Duties/Additional Tasks
-Assists in and/or carries out other office activities and other tasks, as assigned
-Undertakes further job training related to his/her position and duties such as secretarial,
computer, office, and language skills, if required. Special training programs shall be identified and selected jointly with the Head of Administration.
Assignment: Starting 3. May 2010.
