The German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) is an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable
development with worldwide operations. GTZ promotes complex reforms and change processes. Its corporate objective is to improve people’s living conditions on a sustainable basis.
In the context of German-Palestinian Technical Cooperation, GTZ has been commissioned by the
German Government to implement the second phase of the
“Private Sector Development Program (PSDP)”
&
“Promotion of TVET and Labour Market Program”
To support the two Programs in Gaza, we are looking for an

 
Administrative Assistant- Gaza Programs office
Responsibilities and tasks of the Administrative Assistant include but are not limited to:
-Provides administrative / secretarial support for the Programs, such as answering the phone,
sending faxes, copying , filing, assisting staff and visitors, preparing as required, e.g. agendas and minutes of meetings;
-Preparing monthly cost calculation for running costs
-Responsible for all petty cash payments in accordance with GTZ Orientation and Rules
-Assist in preparing all payments for activities in Gaza
-Is in charge of all logistical and administrative arrangements related to the workshops, meetings,
short-term missions etc.;
-Schedules and coordinates meetings, appointments etc. for the Project Advisors;
-Assists in procuring/contracting goods and services required for the Programs according to GTZ
Regulations;
-Assists in preparing and maintaining inventory list and monitor availability of resources;
-Organizes and maintains the office and office equipment;
-Establishes, maintains, and updates files (soft and hard copies) , databases, records, and/or other
soft and hard documentation for the PSDP & TVET
-Support other program activities in Gaza and West Bank .

Minimum Qualifications:
-University degree (BA in Business Administration, Accounting or similar)
-Fluent in Arabic, excellent command of English; German skills are highly desirable
-Excellent computer skills
-Flexibility, organizational and coordination skills
-Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
-Ability and willingness to work as part of a team
-Ability and willingness to learn quickly and take on increasing responsibilities
