Administrative Officer

The GIZ Programme “Promotion of TVET and Labour Market” in Ramallah is seeking to fill the position of an Administrative Officer for a contract period until 31.12.2013 in full-time (40 working hours a week).
Tasks and Functions include but are not limited to:
-Manage relevant day to day office tasks such as:
-Coordinating appointments, setting up meetings, organizing workshops
-Administrative tasks according to request of the project team or clients
-Assist in communication matters and facilitate information exchange with partners;
-Assist in GIZ internal administrative processes such as spending and resources planning;
-Prepare protocols and meeting minutes;
-Invite offers, organize purchase orders and follow-up service contracts on demand of GIZ team leader;
-Follow up on submission of deliverables and completion of payments for the consultants/ contractors and/or vendors;
-Monitor operating cash flow within the responsibility of the office;
-Support the GIZ Team Leader in all administration tasks.
-Support in particular increasing workload generated by the requirement to process contracts in the context of co-financing agreements
Required qualifications:
-Bachelor degree preferably in the field of public administration or related fields;
-Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant working experience;
-Knowledge of GIZ procedures and experience in their application
-Fluent in Arabic and English, German is an asset;
-Excellent computer and communication skills;
-Excellent writing and reporting skills;
-Ability to work under stressful conditions, self-initiator, flexible and able to work with people of different backgrounds, service oriented, able to work within a team.
Assignment: expected starting date is May 2013
