Advocacy & Peacebuilding Officer

World Vision is an international Christian humanitarian aid agency working with the most
marginalized and poor communities of the world.
World Vision Jerusalem-West Bank-Gaza is seeking a:

The successful candidate will:
Provide support for Advocacy & Peacebuilding for World Vision JWG programs
Develop and Administer advocacy and peace building projects
Contribute to local peacebuilding initiatives by providing technical support , exploring new
opportunities for direct implementation and partnering with local NGO’s
Host external visitors

Qualifications/Requirements
-Bachelor degree in public Relations, communications, social science or development
-Excellent written and verbal skills (English and Arabic). Hebrew is desirable
-Experience in proposal and report writing
-Thorough understanding of issues related to Israeli/Palestinian context
-Web design experience and familiarity with various programmes like Adobe technologies,
Macromedia Flash Design
-Minimum 1 year related experience with Knowledge of Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution
-Knowledge of photography required
-Ability to influence individuals and groups
-Ability to think clearly, deeply, and broadly
-Committed to achieving quality results and service
-Ability to relate to World Vision’s key audiences
-Good interpersonal and cross-cultural communications skills
-Valid driver’s license for travel between Jerusalem and the West Bank
-Position is based in Jerusalem
-Integrity and strong identification with World Vision’s Core Values
