Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing MAP’s advocacy strategies to address barriers to Palestinians' health, dignity, and justice, particularly in the West Bank. It involves representing MAP at high-level meetings, building partnerships with civil society and international organizations, and supporting local partners in developing advocacy and research strategies. Key responsibilities include organizing events, producing research reports, conducting field research, and monitoring health and human rights trends. The role also emphasizes fostering participatory research methods, delivering training, and ensuring MAP’s advocacy aligns with community needs, while evaluating the impact of its efforts.

We are looking for someone with strong analytical, research, and communication abilities, particularly in advocacy, global health, and human rights. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the political and humanitarian context in Palestine, Lebanon, and the Middle East, with proven experience navigating international policymaking environments. Fluency in English and Arabic, a proactive and creative mindset, and a commitment to MAP’s values of solidarity, dignity, and integrity are essential. The candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently in high-pressure situations, and a dedication to ethical, anti-discriminatory, and safeguarding practices.
