Agricultural Coordinator
Summary of the Position:
The Agricultural Coordinator will work under the direction of the Program Director, IOCC Gaza Field Office in the management, implementation, supervision and monitoring of IOCC-JWBG Project: We Grow: Women Empowerment for Growing and Agricultural Inclusion and Resilience Project. S/he will be supervising both the coordination, logistical, administrative and technical components of the work, and will be required to liaise and work closely with IOCC partners, vendors and the IOCC Gaza Field Office relevant staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
These will include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Under the direct supervision and close coordination of the Program Director, IOCC Gaza Field Office, lead the implementation of IOCC Gaza Women Empowerment for Growing and Agricultural Inclusion and Resilience Project in North Gaza governorate and communities as scheduled, and in accordance with grants agreements and with full compliance to IOCC regulations.
- Lead the implementation of the project in the field in reaching the project objectives, and in accordance to the project implementation plan and timeline.
- Organize and ensure proper, transparent and efficient beneficiary selection; follow-up and monitoring of the process.
- Lead the process the of needs assessment for the targeted beneficiary rural women and participate in conducting a socio-economic and technical needs assessment and mapping to identify and assess the actual needs of each beneficiary rural woman.
- Supervise the work of the IOCC local/community partners, including the provision of necessary guidance and support.
- Responsible for preparing and reviewing tender documents, as well as supervising technical aspects of the implementation of works and performing day to day control.
- Act as a member of the bidding committee, attending opening bids sessions and assisting in conducting the bid analysis as well as obtaining feedback on the received technical and financial offers along with the contractors’ practical performance and experience.
- Conduct regular field visits and follow-up and monitoring of program sites and as per the planned schedule and activities, and provide regular reporting on the progress, achievements, constraints, etc. Collect base line and needs assessment data.
- Collect and verify the documentation related to beneficiary selection, field site visits, distribution of the assistance, and other project activities.
- Coordinate, monitor and follow-up IOCC-JWBG local partners of the project.
- Supervise the monitoring and evaluation process for the project activities, including beneficiary selection, assistance distribution activities, Cash-for-Work interventions as well as post intervention beneficiary satisfaction surveys.
- Provide the Program Director with daily field report.
- Commitment to offer more volunteer time dedicated for the work purposes, if needed.

Knowledge and Skills: Proven knowledge and abilities in project management and coordination. And implementation of projects related to agriculture and food security ability to work and to communicate effectively with partners and beneficiaries to ensure compliance with IOCC policies and procedures strong organizational skills; good planning and time-management skills; inter-personal communication skills; full computer literacy; advanced verbal and written communications skills- fluency in English and Arabic.
Competencies: Ability to build strong personal and community relationships with all project stakeholders, partner organization, beneficiaries and other contacts; sensitivity to cultural conditions and practices; tenacity in observing procedures, regulations, local laws and other requirements in implementing and maintaining IOCC programs; ability to think strategically, analyze issues, and make appropriate recommendations.
Education: University degree in agriculture
Experience: A minimum of five-year experience in working on similar projects is preferred, working with international/local development and relief organizations, preferably in the country of assignment; focusing on food security and community agricultural work and project implementation.
