The East Jerusalem YMCA invites applications for the position “ AlFakhoora House Officer” under Al Fakhoora Scholarships and empowerment project which is implemented in partnership with United Nations Development / Programme of assistance to the Palestinian people UNDP/PAPP , funded by the AlFakhoora Campaign – Qatar and the Islamic development Bank (IDB).
Al-Fakhoora house , is an activity of Al-Fakhoora Dynamic Futures Programme of the UNDP/PAPP and implemented in partnership with local implementing partners in Gaza, Natuf and EJ-YMCA . Al-Fakhoora House represents the venue to host the Office of the Representative of Al-Fakhoora Campaign- Qatar in Palestine, Al-Fakhoora Student Services Unit, Al-Fakhoora Alumni, and the local implementing partners’ teams. The house offers services to 320 Al-Fakhoora scholars in Gaza.
Job Title: Al-Fakhoora House Officer
Starting Date : ASAP
Contract duration: 1 year of possible extension
Location : Gaza
Job Duties:
-Manage the overall activities of Al Fakhoora Houses including human Resources and Financial management.
-Oversee and monitor performance of Student’s Registers, Communication Team, and Scholarship Team.
-Develop monthly reports for the overall activities of the House.
-Review accuracy of data provided by different team members that feed into the quarterlies, and semi-annual progress reports.
-Consolidate monthly Plans of the House different team members and activities and approve it with the UNDP as the funding agency.
-Prepare, follow up, and complete team action plans.
-Maintains team productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; identify trends; determine system improvements; and implementing change.
-Enhances Al Fakhoora House reputation by endorsing Student’s ownership Model for accomplishing new and different activities; exploring opportunities to add value to Dynamic Future Programme accomplishments.
-Follow up and manage operational issues of Al Fakhoora House, including management of transportation services, Video Conferencing, Telecommunication services, stationary procurement, assets maintenance and Al Fakhoora House budget.
-Follow up performance of consulting, career and students services performed by different team members
-Manage Al Fakhoora House Team semi-annual and annual appraisal and refer recommendations to Al Fakhoora Dynamic Future Programme Management of the UNDP/PAPP.
-Manage Al-Fakhoora House different resources, and ensure the efficient usage of available resources.
-Follow up the accuracy of data input and output of Al Fakhoora Management Information System (The Portal)
-coordinate with the involved teams to ensure that payments to students , universities , and other service providers are made accurately and on timely manner.
-Coordinate with other local partners and the UNDP as the funding agency.
-Provide quarterly reports to the UNDP as the funding agency.
-consolidate the weekly and monthly communications and transportation plan for the hosted teams in the House.
-suggest capacity building training for the working teams based on their tasks and responsibilities.
-ensure procedures to document the efficiency of the provided services by the House to its targeted visitors.

Requirements:
-Bachelor / Master degree in management and finance, Business Administration, Master Degree is an asset.
-At least 5 years of professional experience with at least 4 years in project management capacity.
-Previous experience working with international NGOs/ ORGs, and donors is required and strongly preferred.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Previous knowledge in dealing with information management systems in project management is preferred.
-Proven experience in dealing with Youth community as main beneficiaries is preferred.
-Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadlines, and multi- tasked teams.
-Ability to contribute to a proactive team, motivating staff and working collaboratively with colleagues and providing support and advice as necessary.
-Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams.
-A full appreciation of the value of co-operation, both internationally and within a team environment.
-Written and verbal fluency in English is a must
-Knowledge of financial procedures and liquidation processes and documentation.
