AMIDEAST | Science & Math Teacher Trainers

AMIDEAST/Model Schools Network Program seeks the services of experts to be employed as
independent contractors for the positions indicated below:

Trainers will work in three teams of two to plan and implement training for a number of private
schools Science and Math teachers in Gaza, and to provide ongoing technical and pedagogical support to MSN schools between November 2010 and December 2011

Trainer 1 – Science Education Specialist (2 positions)

Desired Qualifications:

-A post-graduate degree in Education Science with a focus on computers in teaching and learning
-Experience as a trainer in education training events
-Knowledge of science teaching pedagogy
-A minimum of 5 years of experience of teaching at post secondary level
-The ability to adapt curriculum to the individual needs of trainees
-Experience delivering materials on a virtual learning environment (VLE)
-Excellent oral and written skills
-Availability during school semester and holidays
-Excellent coordination skills, and team work
-Excellent analytical and report writing skills
-Willingness to travel to MSN schools

Trainer 2 – Math Education Specialist (2 positions)

Desired Qualifications:

-A post-graduate degree in Education Math with a focus on computers in teaching and learning
-Experience as a trainer in education training events
-Knowledge of math teaching pedagogy
-A minimum of 5 years of experience of teaching at post secondary level
