AMIDEAST | Technology Teacher Trainers

AMIDEAST/Model Schools Network Program seeks the services of experts to be employed as
independent contractors for the positions indicated below:

Trainers will work in three teams of two to plan and implement training for a number of private
schools Science and Math teachers in Gaza, and to provide ongoing technical and pedagogical support to MSN schools between November 2010 and December 2011.

Trainer 1 – Technology Education Specialist (2 positions)
Desired Qualifications:

-A post-graduate degree in Education Technology with a focus on computers in teaching and learning
-Experience as a trainer in education training events
-Knowledge of technology teaching pedagogy
-A minimum of 5 years of experience of teaching at post secondary level
-The ability to adapt curriculum to the individualneeds of trainees
-Experience delivering materials on a virtual learning environment (VLE)
-Excellent oral and written skills
-Availability during school semester and holidays
-Excellent coordination skills, and team work
-Excellent analytical and report writing skills
-Willingness to travel to MSN schools

Trainer 2 – Technology Specialist
Desired Qualifications:

-A post-graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
-Excellent oral and written skills
-Experience using virtual learning environments (VLE)
-Training experience
-Willingness to travel to MSN schools
-Knowledge and skills in developing multimedia
-Understanding and experience of networks
-Experience with moodle and flash
-Availability during school semester and holidays
-Excellent coordination skills, and team work
-Excellent analytical and report writing skills
