IT Application Trainer(s)/ Self- Assessment & Strategic Planning Project
Rawda College in partnership with Andaleeb Al- Amad have received a Grant from the Ministry of Education & the project entitled “Improving & Strengthening the Institutional Capacity For Self- assessment & Strategic Planning “. and intends to apply part of this grant for the selection and employment of a highly qualified IT Application Trainer(s).
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Project Coordinator IT Application Trainer(s) will be responsible for, but not limited to the following Duties and Responsibilities
1) Conduct placement exam to assess the IT application needs for the participants such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc. and holding the necessary IT application training course.
2) Design overall course-work activities, learning materials and other documents such as handouts and exercises.
3) Prepare training course materials based on a conceptual understanding of the MS project and the interaction of its components.
4) Empower participants in customizing the user interface, creating project plans and templates, defining activities, cost, risks, and
overall project scope assigning resources, allocations, optimizing and fine tuning project plans to finish on time, tracking and recording progress and responding to update. Gauging project performance ,and identifying problems, placing tasks and project
back on schedule
5) Implement and deliver appropriate practical applications for participants with effective and responsive key skills needed for
participants’ development.
6) Evaluate the effectiveness of the training course based on the intended outcomes.
7) Provide college management with a progress report upon course completion.
Deliverables:
• Training course layout and outline at the beginning of the training
• Completion of 70 training hours in the field of the assignment
• Final report including training materials soft and hard copy, obstacles met, lessons learned, trainees evaluation, attendance sheet, and conclusion and recommendation
Essential Required Qualifications, Skills, knowledge and Competencies:
1) BSC degree in MIS, IT with experience in managerial aspects or any related field, master degree is a plus.
2) At least 3 years previous working experience in training and delivery of IT applications, MS project, and key skills assessment.
3) Good experience in educational environment work-place and educational software.
4) Good communication skills.
Time frame:
The trainer shall work according to the assignment from 12/4/2009-till 30/7/2009
