Augmented & Virtual Reality Innovation Lab consultant

The Palestine Techno Park (PTP) is a non-profit organization established in 2016 and is a member of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP). PTP aims to help knowledge-based and technology enterprises to grow and operate successfully locally, regionally and globally by creating a national infrastructure, business environment and culture; and by helping these enterprises seed, grow and commercialize business opportunities. The PTP is seeking energetic talent to join the team as a Innovation lab consultant for the (AR/VR) Lab at its temporary office at Birzeit University. The consultant will handle the design, launch, and mentoring the Boot camp program as per the PTP plan and key performance indicators.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Develop further Techno Park’s AR/VR training initiative, and Sector-themed AR/VR Workshops.
• Develop a business plan (road map and set-up) for the VR/AR Innovation Lab in regards to: Lab format, design, spatial requirements, equipment and resources, estimated cost, sponsorships, sustainability plan, business model and revenue streams, operational budget,
• Develop, plan and manage AR/VR activities of the innovation lab such as boot camps, hackathons and workshops.
• Advise on strategies to develop partnerships with local and international institutions and companies for further development of the VR/AR Innovation Lab.

The VR/AR innovation lab is a resource for academics, entrepreneurs, students, startups and established companies working on projects and developing products in the virtual, augmented and mixed reality. The PTP VR/AR innovation lab will be equipped with technologies that include various software and design platforms, multiple headset configurations, workstations, and filming resources to help the entrepreneurial community experiment and create innovations in a wide range of industries.

Qualifications:

Holds at least a Bachelor degree.

An experienced technologist with sufficient experience and knowledge of VR/AR related technology, industry, application development and venture creation. An engineering, audiovisual and/or content development background will be a plus. She/he should have experience, knowledge, initiative and drive to be a forceful champion in the organization.

Note: The PTP has the right to divide the scope of work to more than one candidate. The PTP has the right not to accept any submission without declaring the reasons.
