Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following vacancy in its Ramallah Office:
    

Award Field Officer
Position#: (AFO/WB/2014)


Main Responsibilities:
The Award Field Officer in his/her capacity will support the Award & Compliance Manager in the areas of awards financial management and donor compliance of the Country Office. The position ensures quality services to clients in line with SCI Policies and Procedures. The Award Field Officer will be part of the award and compliance team and mainly assisting with the partnership management from the pre-award assessment to the close-out process as well as making field visits to our partners and conducting orientations and trainings to their staff on SCI policies and procedures as well as donors’ rules and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

-Bachelor’s degree in accounting
-At least 2 years experience of financial experience with day-to-day responsibility within the finance department / awards management unit of a national or international organization including experience with financial management in emergencies
-Excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of other relevant software is an advantage
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadlines
-Ability to contribute to a small, proactive team, motivating staff and working collaboratively with colleagues and providing support and advice as necessary
-Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies
-Fluency in English and Arabic
-Accuracy and attention to details
-Ability to make reasonable judgments and assume responsibility
-Familiarity with donors’ rules and regulations
-Familiarity with relevant local laws
