The Palestinian Health Sector Development and Reform Project (Flagship Project) is a fiveyear project funded by USAID. The Project is seeking to recruit a long-term  Behavior Change Communications (BCC) Coordinator.
Behavior Change Communications (BCC) Coordinator

Principle Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
-Coordinate effective and timely integration of multi-disciplinary health activities and initiatives based on project work plan and direction of the technical component unit head.
-Work closely with the technical team members, BCC short-term consultants and MoH/ Health Education and Promotion Department (HEPD) to identify activities, define plans, and address targets in a timely manner.
-Coordinate with the technical team members, BCC short-term consultants and MoH/ HEPD to identify in relation to the health key messages the targeted audience, approaches, and multimedia
products priorities at the national level involving the health key players to avoid duplication of work.
-Coordinate efforts in designing and implementing behavior change communications and community- targeted campaigns to support specific project components and/or partner agencies programs in coordination with the technical team members (i.e. women’s day, summer camps).
-Provide support in facilitating dialogue and shared activities between the MoH and NGO on key BCC messages.
-Radio or TV spots for improving community health awareness in different health area including NCDs, Women health, child health, community first aid, home and road injury prevention, and healthy life style.
-Review draft RFQ in coordination with the Flagship Project Operation Department to choose designing company.
-Participate in the evaluation committees and prepare of contracts for awarded designing company with the Flagship project compliance team.
-Manage designing company work, and coordinate meetings between the designers and the MoH HEPD to get approvals in the produced designs.
-Track the dissemination of the produced BCC health education materials at the PHC and SHC facilities in coordination with the project integrated team.
-Organize training programs and workshops related to Behavior Change Communications.
-Draft monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, meeting minutes as needed.
-Prepare and upload purchase and events requests on AID Project for different activities and ensure they are approved on timely manner.

Education, Qualifications and/or Equivalent Experience
-Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
-A minimum of four years experience working in the relevant areas in development programs, with preference to exposure to healthcare projects.
-Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form in English and Arabic.
-Ability to work in a professional and cordial manner with fellow employees, consultants, counterparts, visitors, and the general public.
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, to prioritize work assignments, to meet deadlines, and to exercise good, professional judgment that reflects positively on the image of the project and Chemonics.
-Candidate should have previous exposure to USAID rules and regulations related to communication programs.
