BEE Manager

The USAID-funded Investment Climate Improvement (ICI) Project, aims to assist the Palestinian
Authority in adopting and implementing laws, regulations, policies, and procedures required to improve the business climate and promote foreign and domestic investment. In addition, ICI is assisting the Palestinian Authority to bring its trade regime into compliance with the requirements of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and improve revenue yield from domestic taxes.
ICI currently seeks a manager and coordinator to join its team working on the business enabling environment (BEE) subcomponent of the project.

-Provide programmatic and policy analysis support to the Business Enabling Environment (BEE)
component of the ICI project.
-Work closely with the Ministry of National Economy to provide institutional and capacity building
on a variety of issues, including but not limited to, Intellectual Property Rights, commercial law
reform, economic impact assessments; other duties as may be assigned.
-Provide support to the development and execution of project activities.

Education, Qualifications and/or Equivalent Experience
-Five years’ experience working in legal and commercial issues in Palestine.
-Advanced degree in law, business administration, or economics.
-Experience working on USAID or other donor funded projects preferred.
-Fluency in written and spoken English required; fluency in written and spoken Arabic preferred.
-Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders including government, private sector, nonprofit and
academic institutions.
-Ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders and support their engagement in ICI activities.
