Background
Palestinian Federation of Industries (PFI) was established in 1999 as a private sector institution, as well as national institution that represents the industrial sector in Palestine through specialized industrial federations. The PFI follows the law of the Palestinian Federation of Industries and specialized industrial unions No (2) for the year 2006. The main role of the General Union is to qualify and train members, represent them effectively and defend their interests, develop effective policies to promote the industrial sector and developing the local economy. PFI has a mission to support the Palestinian national industries and protect them against dumping and unfair competition through the following tools: Development of the national industries by orienting domestic and foreign investments and introducing modern industrial systems. Regulating of industrial activity in accordance with the type of industrial production through specialized unions and provide them with the necessary support. Endeavor to raise the competitiveness of the national industrial products.
Project
PFI, in partnership with UNDP, will start a project entitled “The project aims to empower youth, women, and marginalized groups in the Gaza Strip by supporting them with greater access to decent productive jobs and contributing to sustainable and inclusive economic development. The interventions will create short-term job opportunities linked to longer-term sustainable employment.” on first-May 2023 and for a period of 10 months. The project will be implemented in collaboration with and the support of the UNDP. The project idea focuses on Capacities of 180 youth in business development and MSMEs management will be developed and improved, including financial support to 60 small and micro enterprises. through qualification and training them in theory and practice on the various production lines in the factories, it aims to enhance abilities and skills of the target group with specific technical and soft skills, merge them in the industrial sub-sector, increase combination opportunities between the industrial establishments and the new business through effective guidance. The project will include capacity building activities for the target group. PFI through the incubator will recruit trainers to provide training and coaching services different fields of the training.
The training will include methodological skills to engage with technical problems, how to address those problems, and how to find better solutions in the participation of the industrial companies in each step.
Therefore, PFI is looking for a competent and experienced Business Development Coach to work on the project. He/she will be responsible for Coaching the project beneficiaries, Work with the beneficiaries in order to help them in stabilizing and developing their Strategic Planning, Marketing and Promotional Planning, Financial Management and Planning, and general Administration and issues. The project coordinator should work in compliance with PFI values, rules, and regulations. He/she will work under the direct supervision of PFI Executive manager.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Education/Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Business, Economics, Finance etc.) and/or equivalent business experience
Experience
- The Analyst should ideally have experience in working with Palestinian start-ups and MSMEs.
- Relevant professional experience, preferably with industrial sector.
- Familiarity with the topics of green economy and economic inclusion.
- Knowledge of business advisory services.
- Knowledge of local business environment and consultancy market.
Skills
- Strong business advisory skills.
- Business/financial analytical skills, with the ability to interpret accounts, understand local accounting principles and conduct financial analysis.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication, presentation and negotiation skills and ability to manage relations with clients, consultants and other stakeholders.
- Strong writing skills; experience in writing advisory project proposals, terms of references or reports desirable.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Fluency in language of country of operations.
- Computer literate: excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Power Point, ability to learn new systems quickly.
General
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
