Business Development Intern
Position Summary:
The Business Development (BD) Intern will play an active role in supporting Anera’s fundraising and project development efforts. Based in the Ramallah office, the intern will contribute to proposal development, donor research, and project reporting, helping to expand Anera’s impact and partnerships. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills in business development, donor relations, and international development programming while working closely with experienced professionals in the field.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
- Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking detailed minutes for BD and project reporting-related activities.
- Organize and maintain electronic files and documents related to proposals, reports, and donor communications.
Research and Donor Mapping:
- Conduct research on potential donors, funding opportunities, and regional partnerships.
- Compile background information and data to support the development of concept notes and proposals.
Proposal Development Assistance:
- Provide support in drafting sections of proposals, including contextual information, organizational capacity statements, and basic technical inputs.
- Help track deadlines, monitor proposal submission timelines, and coordinate inputs from team members.
Reporting Support:
- Assist in collecting data and preparing reports for ongoing projects in collaboration with program managers.
- Format and proofread final documents for submission to donors.
Communication and Liaison:
- Help coordinate visits with donors or other stakeholders, including preparing meeting materials and logistical arrangements.
- Serve as a point of contact for follow-up communications with field staff and the US office on routine matters.

Expected Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or final-year student) in International Relations, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in office tools (e.g., Microsoft or Google Suite).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative on assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of the development and humanitarian sector in Palestine.
- Familiarity with donor organizations and grant application processes is a plus.
- Previous internship or volunteer experience with NGOs or development projects.
