Communications and Public Awareness Specialist for USAID-funded
Palestinian Authority Capacity Enhancement Project
The Palestinian Authority Capacity Enhancement Project aims to serve the Palestinian
people by working with the Palestinian Authority (PA) to provide more effective, efficient,
and responsive services through developing public administration systems. The project is
funded by USAID and implemented by Chemonics International, a private international
development firm. The project team has an immediate opening for a Communications and
Public Awareness Specialis.

Position Description:
1. Design and implement a communications strategy for the project.
2. Organize and oversee communications campaigns, public outreach activities, and
media events to support project activities.
3. Help to develop communications and outreach strategies for project counterparts.
4. Provide communications and public outreach training and capacity building support to
Counterparts.
Qualifications:
1. At least 10 years of experience in the field of communications and/or public outreach,
including work with donor-funded projects.
2. Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred, in communications, adult
education, marketing, or related field.
3. Experience in developing and managing educational communication and public
information programs.
4. Strong written and verbal communications skills in English and Arabic.
