Chief Technology Officer

Position Overview:
Akram Sbitany and Sons ltd is the leading national company in importing, distributing and
retailing of name-brand electrical and electronic appliances from esteemed
international companies such as LG, BEKO, SanDisk and Philips. The company is seeking a
candidate for a challenging Chief Technology Officer and co-ordinator position. The company

Scope of work:
-Formulating long-term visions and strategies in addition to assisting and advising the company’s
management in all technical and technological related issues.
-Installation, upgrade and maintenance of all the corporate hardware and software in the headquarters and all branches; such as the Accounting and Financial System, HR software, Mail and Web servers, VOIP central unit, UPSs, Internet Network.
-To establish Standard Operating Procedures and Internal Guidelines containing policies relating to all IT issues.To produce precise reports to the management and to recommend improvements for future achievements.
-Provide advice and assistance to all staff in communication and IT matters related to the performance of their duties.
-To perform other duties required by the company’s management.

Required Qualification:
-Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Network Engineering (Master
Degree is an advantage) or equivalent combination of education, training and practical experience, with special interest in network technologies.
-Minimum five years of demonstrated relevant experience in Large Private Sector Enterprises.
-Strong technical and scientific background preferably combined with business development skills.
-Knowledge of Installation, management and configuration of servers, workstations, firewalls and other network equipment.
-Knowledge of networks protocols, Local Area Networks (LAN), TCP/IP, Backup systems including
installation, administration and management.
-Experience in Apache, MySQL and PHP.
-Ability to install, manage and configure different operating systems : Linux (a must) ,windows 2003
server and windows vista .
-Good communication skills in Arabic, Hebrew and English.
-Jerusalem ID card, valid Israeli driving license with availability to travel to the different companies’ branches.
