Civil Engineer

The Palestinian Electricity Transmission Ltd. (PETL) invites applications from eligible candidates for the following positions:
 

Civil Engineer (Ref. #: CE/TD/2016-05)

Roles and Responsibilities:
 
-Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations.
-Using a range of computer packages for developing detailed designs.
-Undertaking complex and repetitive calculations.
-Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals including architects, subcontractors, etc.
-Compiling job specifications and supervising tendering procedures.
-Resolving design and development problems.
-Scheduling material and equipment purchases and delivery.
-Following up all permitting process.
-Confirm that all civil activities in the project meet international & company standards.
-Managing budgets and project resources.
-Approving material and equipment specifications.
-Ensuring projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time.
-Preparing all closing documents and following up as built drawings with department director and GM.
-Preparing all final data sheets for all equipment in the site.
-Use design software to plan and design systems and structures in line with industry and government standards.
-Perform or oversee, surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction

Qualifications:

-BSc in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
-Design Software Certification and EESMM preferred.
-Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
-Experience in collecting and analyzing data
-Strong leadership capabilities.
