Civil Engineer

An-Najah National University Hospital (NNUH) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the following position:

Civil Engineer

Essential Job Functions:

1. Manage, design, develop and create construction projects in a safe and timely manner.
2. Conduct site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, etc.).
3. Conducting technical and feasibility studies and setting plans that meet the technical specifications.
4. Assessment of potential risks and determination of pros and cons.
5. Providing advice and appropriate solutions to building and construction problems.
6. Supervising employees and communicating with various administrative positions.
7. Preparing periodic reports on the status of the project.
8. Follow up on construction and safety matters and supervise the implementation of all conditions.
9. Calculating and reviewing quantities.
10. Preparing bidding documents, their quantities and specifications.
11. Review engineering plans, specifications and equipment for the construction and building management.
12. Interface with City, consultants and contractors to ensure proper implementation.
13. Prepare reports and analysis setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
14. Monitor, examine and verify expenditure of funds to established project budgets.

Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
2. A valid membership in the Engineers association.
3. At least five years of practical experience.
4. Good knowledge in dealing with drawings programs such as AutoCAD.
5. Knowledge of structural design programs such as Safe, SAP2000 and ETABS.
6. Good knowledge and use of the management programs such as MS-project and primavera.
7. The ability to plan efficiently and with high accuracy and very Good Communication skills with others.
8. The ability to design the structure and prepare specifications and quantities.
9. Proficiency in project management and supervision skills.
10. Excellent communication process with different personalities.
11. Preparing and drawing construction plans using relevant engineering programs.
12. Excellent knowledge of standards and codes that provide guidelines for construction and engineering design.
13. Project management, monitoring, controlling, decisions making, team work and etc.
14. Good knowledge of English.
