Civil Engineer

Greek Committee for International Democratic Solidarity, EEDDA, in Cooperation with Agricultural Development Association, PARC, have received a grant from the European Commission for the implementation of the humanitarian aid operation entitled, “Emergency water supply project for Palestinian community in Occupied Palestinian Territories, West Bank” (ECHO/-ME/BUD/2009/01005) in Tell Village / Nablus district.
PARC is currently seeking to fill the position of Field Officer (Supervisor Engineer) to be based in North
West Bank.
Job Summary
• The Field Officer should be from the north of West Bank or north Ramallah (preferred Nablus District),
and he/she will conduct a daily follow up and supervision of the implementation of all project’s activities in Tell village / Nablus. The Field officer should also have all qualifications and skills to execute,
follow up and monitor the following issues:
1. Monitoring of the quality of implemented activities, delivered services and supplied material according to PWA General Technical Specification (GTS) and according to the detailed design’s drawings
2. Following up the conduction of workshops and training courses in the targeted location.
3. Full coordination with the local committee and village council in the village.
4. Participating in handing over of the delivered services and materials.
5. Reporting to the project coordinator.
• The Field Officer should employ all efforts to monitor the above issues, by conducting daily follow-up to the work sites and monitoring all stages of implemented activities done by contractor.
Qualifications & Requirements
1. Holder of B.Sc degree in civil engineering,
2. At least four years of professional experience working as site engineer and following up of construction projects.
3. Experience in implementing and supervising of water projects (Water Networks, Pumping Stations, Water Reservoirs).
4. Familiar with Microsoft office and civil engineering programs (AutoCAD, MS Project, …etc).
