Position: Cleaner 

Type: Contract / Temp , On-site  

Location:  Gaza, Palestine  

Salary: ILS 2,016 

Reporting to:  MAP Medical Activity Supervisor 

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining relationships with team members, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene across designated areas, performing regular cleaning tasks, managing supplies, adhering to safety and infection control protocols, supporting special projects, maintaining confidentiality, collaborating with team members, reporting issues promptly, attending training and meetings, and fulfilling other assigned duties to support the mission of MAP in Gaza.

The ideal candidate would have experience in cleaning or janitorial roles, preferably in high-conflict or low-resource settings. Familiarity with standard cleaning procedures and equipment is essential, and experience in healthcare or humanitarian settings is advantageous. Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary, along with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
