Business Alliance HR is recruiting a Commercial Director for a Regional Telecom and Internet Company located in Iraq.
The ideal candidate should be a seasoned Commercial Director focusing on Business Strategy and a proven track record in indirect sales to lead the company's commercial business. S/he will drive vision, business development plans, and digital transformation initiatives as a Digital Service Provider while spearheading digital services in the 4G/5G telecommunications industry.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Growth & Commercial Management:

  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives/procedures to achieve commercial targets and drive business growth.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives and leverage cutting-edge technology, particularly in digital services, via attractive interfaces (Self-Care Mobile App) with end-use to maintain the growth of connected users.
  • Design and oversee a gratitude program tailored for users in alignment with company goals and values that will lead to revenue growth by moving the users to higher commercial packages.
  • Collaborate closely and deeply with the executive team to ensure that commercial and marketing objectives align seamlessly with the overarching business strategy and vision.
  • Establish, monitor, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to track commercial success and consistently meet goals.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability, focusing on cost-effectiveness and service quality.
  • Lead in executing strategic plans leads to increased profitability and business expansion by injecting different sources of revenue instead of a price war.
  • Enhance sales performance with external agencies, ensuring customer satisfaction, and meeting revenue targets.
  • Advocate for data monetization and Telco-based insights at the company, engaging with C-suite to drive sales, foster client relationships, and exceed revenue objectives utilizing operator’s trends.
  • Develop commercial advertisement strategies over social media to gain end-user interest.
  • Develop yearly commercial budget while considering related CAPEX and growth phases.
  • Work closely with the Contact Center to develop a workflow that meets end-users' satisfaction.

Marketing:

  • Oversee the development of data analytics outcomes and user segmentations via conducting regular reviews to optimize cost structures and ensure planned ROI/targets are achieved.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing business operations across the company.

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Provide strong leadership, motivation, and guidance to staff members, effectively empowering them to achieve indirect sales and organizational objectives.
  • Manage the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Care departments.

Special Requirements & Skills: 
  1. Experience in fostering and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, C-Level, internal and external vital players, clients, and agencies.
  2. Knowledge of the culture of local users, economic situation, and competitors of Iraq and adjust commercial packages accordingly.
  3. Strong background in the requirements of the Iraqi market in general and the northern market in particular.
  4. Strong leadership abilities demonstrated by effectively managing diverse teams and driving organizational growth.
  5. Exceptional business understanding and problem-solving skills; adept at analyzing complex scenarios, making sound decisions, and managing conflict.
  6. Outstanding interpersonal and communication capabilities, fostering collaboration and relationship-building across all levels of stakeholders.
  7. Proficient in negotiation and contract management, capable of forging strategic alliances and driving favorable outcomes.
  8. Exemplary leadership traits, unwavering resolve, and personal integrity.
  9. Demonstrate a grasp of business development and strategic planning.
  10. Connect and cooperate with other internal departments to get a clear insight into the capabilities/services that can be offered to end-users for additional revenue growth.
  11. Background in the 4G/5G Telecommunications industry.
Years of experience:
Minimum 10 years of hands-on and comprehensive business management expertise spanning corporate/ commercial management and compliance.
 
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
An MBA is a plus.
 
Location:
Iraq.

Languages Required:
Fluent in English and Arabic.
