Position Title: Communication and Public Relation Manager
Reports to: Program Director
Supervises: Membership coordinator
Role Summary
The general purpose of this position is managing reputation and aims to gain understanding and support for PalTrade as well as to influence opinion and behavior.
The Communications & PR Manager uses all forms of media and communication to build, maintain and manage the reputation of PalTrade and shall communicate key messages, often using third party endorsements, to defined target audiences to establish and maintain goodwill and understanding between PalTrade and its stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Formulating and implementing a comprehensive communication strategy aimed at improving the organization's identity and public perception.
- Developing engaging material for multiple platforms, such as press releases, social media updates, and website content
- Drafting media pitches, news releases, media advisories, announcements, and other communications materials for dissemination to the media
- Managing and maintaining positive relationships with media contacts, influencers, and key stakeholders to secure media coverage
- Creating and managing a PR plan, including budgets and timelines
- Analyzing all media coverage of the organization and drafting appropriate responses
- Utilizing analytics tools to assess and evaluate the impact of communication strategies enables informed, data-driven decision-making.
- Monitoring and measuring news coverage of the organization or the key persons
- Ensuring all organizational publications and promotional materials are properly branded
- Arranging public appearances and speeches for PalTrade key persons
- Providing outreach to follow-up with past, present, and potential members in various forms of membership communications, event management, and capturing their successes in the form of documented stories, pictures, and videos.
- Managing the communications risks and opportunities both internally and externally.
- Advising and participating in decisions that may impact the ongoing reputation of PalTrade
- Drafting media pitches, news releases, media advisories, announcements, and other communications materials for dissemination to the media
Job Specifications
- Experience:
- Seven to ten years of experience in a similar position.
- Education:
- University degree (B.A.) in communications, journalism or public relations.
- Certificate or courses may include mass media, persuasion theory, visual communications and persuasive writing.
- Skills:
- Hands-on experience in content development and PR activities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, experience drafting press releases and various other written communications in English and Arabic
- Skilled at building and maintaining media lists in a way that directly drives press coverage
- Skills in photography, videography, and editing.
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Proficiency in advertising and invitation design is an advantageous asset.
