Asala is a development organization that contributes to empowering Palestinian women living in poverty to positively change their economic and social status through the provision of financial and non-financial services".
Position : Communication & Media Officer
Station : Ramallah Headquarter Office
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
-Create a media plan that is suitable to Asala's needs.
-Implement and monitor communication and media plan; report on measurable indicators, achievements and setbacks.
-Create, design, produce and publish all media, public awareness materials and marketing mecha¬nisms including (but not limited to): quarterly newsletter, newspaper advertisements/articles/ statements, radio and TV spots, promotional activities reports, annual reports and brochures, flyers and other marketing materials.
-Prepare, monitor and follow on agreements with subcontractors for production of documentary films when needed, produce and print materials, researches, reports, promotion materials, etc. for publishing .
-Plan, prepare, monitor and follow up on ASALA's public events as needed.
-Continuously upgrade ASALA's website.
-Establish and maintain strong relationship with all ASALM stakeholders; BOD,Members, Beneficiaries, Donors, and Partners.
-Networking and Cooperation with other GO's, NG0s, Grassroots organizations and Women's Organizations to promote Asala's mission, objectives and results.
-Field work to document and report on success stories on ASAL.Xs women beneficiaries all over the west Bank villages, camps and cities as required.
-Attend the regular Asala's staff or other meetings and any public sessions or workshops to represent and promote the Asala's mission and objectives within the community and other NGO's when needed.
-Provide monthly management reports to the Executive Director and other relevant bodies as requested by management.
-Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by supervisor & management.
Skills required:
-Degree in Journalism, Communication, Marketing or other related field
-Must be innovative, inspirational, and have a strong sense of the Palestinian context.
-Excellent ability to write, edit and create publications, newsletters, public statements, marketing and promotional materials.
-Able to predict and be responsible and accountable for the results & impact of his/her work.
-Team Player, Hardworking and Committed personality.
-Holding a Driving License is preferred.
