Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) is an International Humanitarian Organization and a member of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. QRCS in cooperation with Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) implements its Programs/projects implementation to address emergency and humanitarian needs in Jerusalem, West Bank and Gaza Strip, QRCS invites candidates to apply for the following position:
Communication & Media Officer

Location: Gaza Strip

 
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

-Create a media plan that is suitable to QRC's needs, Implement and monitor communication and media plan; report on measurable indicators, achievements and setbacks.
-Create, design, produce and publish all media and, public awareness materials including (but not limited to): newspaper advertisements/articles/ statements, radio and TV spots, promotional activities reports, annual reports and brochures, flyers and other marketing materials.
-Prepare, monitor and follow on agreements with subcontractors for production of documentary films when needed, produce and print materials, researches, reports, promotion materials, etc. for publishing.
-Plan, prepare, monitor and follow up on QRC's public events as needed.
-Establish and maintain strong relationship with all QRC stakeholders; Beneficiaries, Donors, and Partners.
-Networking and Cooperation with other Governmental bodies, NG0, UN agencies and international NGOs to promote QRC's mission, objectives and results.
-Field work to document and report on success stories on QRC beneficiaries all over the Gaza Strip as required.
-Attend the regular QRC's staff or other meetings and any public sessions or workshops to represent and promote the QRC's mission and objectives within the community and other NGO's when needed.
-Provide monthly management reports to Office Director and other relevant management bodies as requested.
-Performs such other duties as may be assigned.


PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

-Degree in Journalism, Communication, Media or other related field
-A minimum of three years’ work experience in a field related to the post;
-Solid communication skills in both Arabic and English;
-Excellent ability to write, edit and create publications, newsletters, public statements, marketing and promotional materials;
-Positive, innovative, inspirational and problem solving attitude;
-Able to predict and be responsible and accountable for the results & impact of his/her work;
-Team Player, Hardworking and Committed personality;
-Operational knowledge of video & audio editing systems and equipment;
-Skilled in Microsoft Office and internet;
-Ability to work well under extreme pressure;
-It is desirable to have a driving license;
