The Abraham Path initiative has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Masar Ibrahim/Abraham Path: Economic Development Across Fragile Communities project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. The consulting services (“the Services”) include Communications services, related to marketing, public relations, and providing Communications technical assistance to local partners.
Responsibilities include:
communications assistance, expertise and advice to Abraham Path local partner organization, Masar Ibrahim al Khalil; marketing and public relations; and writing, photography and design for Abraham Path online guidebook and marketing materials related to the project.
The assignment is expected to span over a two-year period, beginning April 15, 2014 with an expected effort level of 100 working days per year (200 working days total, until March 31, 2016).
The Abraham Path Initiative now invites eligible individual consultants (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services.
Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.
The shortlisting criteria are:
General Qualifications, Adequacy for the Assignment, and Relevant Experience.
Candidate requirements include a university degree in relevant field (marketing, communications, visual arts, etc.), fluency in English, and ability to travel in Jerusalem and all areas of the West Bank. Candidates should have five years of experience in the communications field, expertise in social media marketing strategies, excellent writing skills, photography and stories published professionally, and significant intercultural & travel experience.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants [under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants] by World Bank Borrowers January 2011 (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
