Communications Coordinator
AMIDEAST seeks a full-time Communications Coordinator to work with existing staff
within the Palestinian Faculty Development Program (PFDP). The Coordinator will be
responsible for a range of duties that communicate PFDP activities to the Palestinian
public and academic communities and to the project donors.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Visiting all West Bank Palestinian universities;
- Communicating with the PFDP’s expanding network of participants and alumni to
promote networking;
- Developing PFDP Newsletters designed to highlight the activities and successes
of the project;
- Maintaining the PFDP website;
- Coordinating a series of 6-8 academic workshops;
- Assisting the rest of the PFDP staff in implementation of other PFDP components.
Applicants should have the following credentials and experience:
- Bachelors degree, preferably in the social sciences or humanities;
- 3-5 years of administrative experience in project communications, coordination, and implementation
- Fluency in Arabic and English;
- Proven communication skills and strong English writing skills;
- Excellent team work skills;
- Experience working on a donor-funded project, preferably USAID;
- A self-starter, able to take the lead on individual initiatives;
- Able to travel widely throughout the West Bank;
- Advanced proficiency in Word and Excel mandatory;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with ease
