Communications & Documentation Manager
AMIDEAST and the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) are jointly implementing the Education for Future (E4F) Program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The five-year program was awarded September 15, 2017. E4F is seeking to hire the following full time position:
Title: Communications and Documentation Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Communications and Documentation Manager (CDM) plays a key role in documenting and reporting on all E4F program components and activities. The successful candidate for this position will effectively contribute to enhancing the understanding, perception and image of E4F, AMIDEAST, and USAID within the community in general as well as among key stakeholder institutions (educational, civil society, governmental, donors and UN agencies, etc.). The incumbent will:
- Work to increase public engagement with the program through coordinating, planning, marketing, organizing and promoting educational outreach activities
- Lead the promotion of program impact through solid evidence and success stories about improvements in teaching and learning practices in Palestinian schools, educational leadership and management capacity of the educational system, and increased engagement of students in non-formal education opportunities
- Play a significant role communicating initiatives through presentations and representation at meetings and conferences
Qualifications required
- Master's degree in education, communications, or other related field + 7 years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree in education, communications, or other related field + 10 years of relevant experience
- Fluency in professional English with excellent written and oral presentation skills
- Fluency in Arabic language is desired
- Experience in documenting and reporting on donor-funded initiatives and interventions, with a focus on education
- Demonstrates expertise in strategic communication principles and practices
- Extensive knowledge of the methods, means, practices, and techniques of communication
- Proven ability to develop information materials for dissemination through a variety of media and to determine the most effective means of reaching varied targeted audiences
- Previous experience working with international organizations; history with USAID-funded initiatives highly desirable
