Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and creating communication materials to highlight MAP’s impact and advocate for key issues. Responsibilities include conducting interviews, writing stories, and coordinating with external suppliers to produce content for digital channels and fundraising efforts. This role will support program teams in developing visibility plans and ensures ethical content practices. Additionally, it involves building media relationships, pitching stories, organizing media briefings, and monitoring regional media to keep the team informed about developments in Gaza.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience in a communications or media role, with a strong background in networking with NGOs and media outlets. The ideal candidate should have experience in producing or overseeing video and photo content and be familiar with key organizations involved in healthcare for Palestinians in the oPt. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, capable of writing compelling copy for diverse audiences, and have a sensitive approach to interviewing. Proficiency in social media, IT skills, and the ability to produce high-quality images are essential, along with fluency in both English and Arabic.
