Communications & Outreach Officer
Intersect Innovation Hub (IIH) is a non-profit established in 2020 with a mission of supporting the
Palestinian innovative ecosystem. To accomplish its mission, IIH provides entrepreneurs with a range of
services to enable them to thrive, including workspace, business support services, exposure and access
to local and international networks, tailored financial solutions, and connection to investors. IIH is
currently expanding its operations to establish hubs in Nablus, Hebron, East-Jerusalem, and Gaza.
Role and Responsibility
Reporting directly to the Programs Manager, the Communication & Outreach Officer will be responsible for leading the conceptualization, development, and implementation of all communication, outreach, and reporting strategies. Specific duties include:
Communications & Outreach
- Implement Intersect Innovation Hub’s (IIH) communication plan, and make updates to the strategy as needed
- Manage IIH's social media platforms and provide regular updates across all channels
- Develop and implement outreach strategies for recruitment to IIH’s programs
- Develop marketing materials to attract various target audiences to IIH’s services, including the Link app and Polaris.ps
- Write engaging articles and posts about entrepreneurship in Palestine for IIH's website, social media, and media partners
- Provide regular updates to IIH's website
- Develop timely materials to promote IIH's community engagement events
- Develop presentations, fact sheets, and other communication materials, as needed
- Respond to inquiries on social media accounts or IIH's info account
- Maintain a consistent visual identity for IIH's communication materials
- Build strong relationships with media outlets and collaborate with the Bank of Palestine's PR team
- Work closely with IIH's startups to improve their communication skills and develop necessary communication content
Reporting & Documentation
- Collaborate with the programs team to produce quarterly and annual reports
- Collaborate with the programs team to produce program and training reports, and ensure that reporting requirements of donors are met
- Support the programs team's documentation process
- Liaise with photographers, videographers, and other service providers to support IIH's documentation and marketing efforts

Undertake any other work-related duties assigned by the line manager

- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a relevant field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in designing and implementing goal-oriented communication strategies, preferably in relation to entrepreneurial programs or organizations
- Expert command of the English language
- Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with the startup ecosystem
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
