Community Engagement/ Field Coordinator
MA’AN Development Center is an independent Palestinian non-profit organization, established in Jerusalem in January 1989. Relying on a human rights-based approach, community partnerships, and active participation, MA’AN works to enhance the resilience, empowerment, and realization of the rights of those most in need, the poor and marginalized groups and individuals, as well as unleash their latent capacities to enhance their active participation in sustainable development and their abilities to respond to and recover from crises.
As a part of MAAN Development Center programs, MAAN Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (HIE) was established in 2018 to foster Innovation to address economic and environmental challenges, bringing together leading higher education institutions, research centers, and private industry firms to form dynamic partnerships enabling innovators and entrepreneurs and empowering them with access to local and regional markets.
MAAN Hub operates a range of enterprise development, skills development, and innovation-enabling programs emphasizing green and sustainable practices with gender-transformative mechanisms. Under this concept, MA’AN Development Center is seeking a competent and highly qualified Community Engagement/ Field Coordinator. The Community Engagement/ Field Coordinator will be responsible for:
The main duties include:
- Facilitating group meetings that can provide resources and expertise to SMEs and startups, and presenting findings/recommendations;
- Filed tasks of following up with entrepreneurs and engaging community groups;
- Build and maintain positive relationships with community members of the hub, and identify new resources and projects to support their development;
- Engage stakeholders in areas aligned with the hub’s activities and initiatives, and actively participate in community and awareness meetings.
- Work with entrepreneurs directly and address their needs, challenges, and opportunities.

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least two years of experience working with
entrepreneurs or in a relevant field,
Minimum of two years of experience in working with NGOs or INGOs in similar positions,
Strong Arabic and English language skills- spoken and written, and strong reporting skills
Good knowledge about economic empowerment concepts and vulnerable youth groups,
Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines,
Highly organized, reliable attention to details, and ability to work with minimum supervision within a team.
