Madrasati Palestine is a Queen Rania Al Abdullah Initiative that was launched in 2010 to rejuvenate schools in Jerusalem. We are currently seeking to employ a talented and committed Community Mobilizer with strong communication skills:

Job Description

- Conduct provisional needs assessments in participating schools based on identified criteria;
- Forming school committees and identifying needs of their schools; at both the infrastructure and programs levels;
- Moderate and assist in facilitating community committee trainings and make all necessary preparations to ensure a smooth schedule;
- Productively and continuously assess progress of school committee meetings and needs and plan training activities to meet these needs;
- Promote community involvement in supporting school/s in the community;
- Liaise with stakeholders and their representatives to ensure and maintain clear channels of communication and productive relationship with the school and its committee;
- Maintain and update school files and ensure a proper documentation of school and community committee meetings, including training materials, monitoring notes and photo archives;
- Monitor the implementation of programs and projects of MadPal partners and prepare monitoring report accordingly
- Co-plan and co-facilitate summer days in MadPal schools.
- Work closely with other team members to adapt and revise procedures of working with schools as necessary (in light of evaluation results).

Qualifications:

-Bachelor degree in a social sciences or any related field
-Two years experience in working with local communities
-Knowledge and understanding of the Palestinian culture and ability to work with diverse communities
-Ability to work effectively and independently under pressure
-Creativity and ability to work effectively within a team
-Strong computer skills
-Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English skills
