About PWWSD
The Palestinian Working Woman Society for Development (PWWSD) is a Palestinian grassroots non-governmental organization working since 1981 with and for Palestinian women marginalized by the Israeli occupation and Palestinian patriarchal society.
PWWSD is currently seeking to improve the political situation of Palestinian women and youth, through integrate women in the negotiation to end the Palestinian political division and increase women’s participation in peace and in addressing women’s security agenda and strengthening human rights, needs, and priorities of women and men in areas affected by armed conflict.
To this end, PWWSD is recruiting a community mobilizer under the “NORAD” project that aims to contribute to preventing and solving conflicts through increased women’s participation in peace and security work and strengthening human rights, needs, and priorities of women and men in areas affected by armed conflict, who will contribute to implementing the project, through coordination with youth, and decision-makers in Gaza and West Bank, and Support the development of monitoring and evaluation tools and conduct regular field visits in the West Bank and Gaza area. The community mobilizer will directly report to the NORAD project coordinator.
Main Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain partnerships and/or coordination with key stakeholders.
- Ensuring all supporting documents are maintained and an orderly filing system is in place.
- Ensure proper, professional, documented, and clear communication with the project team and partners of all aspects of the project activities.
- of use monitoring and evaluation tools and conduct regular field visits.
- Coordinate with the project coordinator to draft the regular narrative progress reports.
- Inform project staff on progress and obstacles in the implementation and provide necessary documentation upon request.
- Organize and conduct workshops and meetings with stakeholders, and participate, document, and coordinate results/outcomes of the Steering Committee Meetings.
- Coordinate and participate in advocacy and policy dialogues with project partners and key project participants on issues included in project campaigning and advocacy plans.
- Perform tasks that are deemed necessary to achieve the project objectives according to the request of the project coordinator.

- Minimum undergraduate degree in political science, planning, business administration, public administration, gender, and development, or related social sciences.
- 1-year experience managing development projects and programs (prefer political projects, youth projects)
- Understanding of Gender equality and Gender mainstreaming concepts.
- Good knowledge of the Palestinian political context.
- Excellent Arabic and English language skills (written and spoken).
- Proven ability to collaborate well and deliver work in a timely manner.
- Coordinate for and follow up on the implementation of the community engagement activities including policy dialogue, round table discussions, and campaigns
- Ensure to plan and implement all the community-based outreach activities in all targeted project sites.
- Develop in cooperation with the project coordinator the link with the local communities, governing structures, municipalities, and other community institutions
- Ensure relevant target groups are identified and informed of the planned events/sessions in advance.
- Resolve all challenges related to awareness interventions using community-based approaches.
- Prepare activities reports on a regular basis and share them with the project coordinator for review and input and in assembling the narrative report.
- Support M&E activities in the field.
- Perform any other related tasks as requested by the direct supervisor.
- Able to travel between West Bank cities using public transportation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and presentation in Arabic and English.
- Strong Leadership skills.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office and online applications).
- Highly committed, able to work under pressure, adapt to new situations, and meet deadlines.
