The Position (General Position Summary)
As the Capacity Building Coordinator (CBC) for the Companies Program, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering early-stage startups, product-based, ICT and service-based companies to grow their businesses and achieve their goals.
This will focus on building the internal capacity of participating companies and their staff within the Companies’ Program as well as developing a pool of tech talent they are able to hire from.
The role will achieve this by identifying and training skilled individuals to meet the demand for IT professionals within the West Bank (WB) tech ecosystem.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conducting ongoing research to understand the market and the challenges faced by local IT and outsourcing companies in the WB.
- Developing and implementing strategies to support IT outsourcing companies in the WB.
- Lead the implementation of the Companies Capacity Building Program in terms of delivering on training structure, application launch, participant and mentor recruitment, facilitating agreements, procurement, administrative and logistical processes as well as other such tasks.
- Creating call for proposals forms and evaluating proposals submitted by local companies.
- Discussing proposals with companies and creating action plans for those participating in the program.
- Creating agreements for companies and overseeing the payment process.
- Leading payments and ensuring proper documentation and evidence is submitted for payment requests to finance.
- Following up continuously with interns, staff and the companies participating in the program.
- Implementing baseline and endline surveys to evaluate the program's success and pinpoint areas for development.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with IT outsourcing companies across the WB.
- Supporting the access to the new market intervention and assisting companies in registering their businesses locally and internationally.
- Developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the program and other GSG interventions.
- Managing program budgets and ensuring funds are allocated effectively.
- Preparing regular reports on program activities, including progress against targets and lessons learned.
- Support the other Companies’ development and Technical Training interventions which may overlap and reinforce the outcomes and impact of the program.
- Helping in creating new interventions to support IT companies in the WB and assisting in their implementation.

Reports directly to: Companies Program Senior Officer
Works directly with: West Bank Technical Training Program Team, Gaza Sky Geeks Program Team, Mercy Corps Support Functions
Accountability to Participants and Stakeholders
Mercy Corps team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to our program participants, community partners, and other stakeholders, and to international standards guiding international relief and development work. Minimum Qualification & Transferable Skills
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Education, Computer Science, or Engineering
- 2+ years of work experience in a relevant field. Experience in information management, administration, or a highly organized role in other fields will be of value.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs and capacity-building initiatives.
- Experience in talent development, recruitment, or workforce development initiatives is an advantage.
- Excellent writing skills in English and Arabic.
