In the West Bank, IREX brings an innovative youth development approach that will lead the development and implementation of the USAID-funded Partnerships with Youth program in the West Bank.
Partnerships with Youth is a five-year, USAID-funded program that builds on and expands USAID-supported Youth Development Resource Centers (YDRCs) to create opportunities for active youth learning and innovation in the West Bank. PWY provides subgrants and technical assistance to eight YDRCs in Hebron, Jenin, Jericho, Nablus, Qalqilya, Tubas, Salfit, and Tulkarem, and two implementing partners in Albireh and Bethlehem to build their organizational capacity and improve their sustainability.
POSITION SUMMARY
Partnerships with Youth (PWY) is a five-year, USAID-funded program that builds on and expands USAID-supported Youth Development Resource Centers (YDRCs) to create opportunities for active youth learning and innovation in the West Bank. PWY provides subgrant and technical assistance to YDRCs to build their organizational capacity and improve their sustainability, and offer high quality programming for youth aged 14-29.
The PWY Program is seeking for a 5-month position. The PWY Compliance Assistant is a short-term position that will support the Partnerships with Youth program in ensuring full compliance with funder regulations. The Compliance Assistant will be responsible for checking and tracking training participants. In this role, the Compliance Assistant will work closely with IREX sub grantees to ensure their compliance with regulations and IREX requirements, and collaborate with the Finance and Admin, Grants, and Technical teams in furtherance of this goal. This position will report to the Finance and Administration Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Coordinate with technical and grants teams to keep track of when PWY trainings are taking place in order to ensure that partners share participant lists at least 3 weeks before the first day of each training
-Review pre-registered participants using IREX databases (e.g. M&E beneficiary database) to determine whether each participant may attend the training
-Proactively communicate information to partners regarding participants that can and cannot attend
-Input all required participant information into IREX databases and inform Finance Manager in a timely manner of when this information is ready for review and spot check
-Ensure partners submit attendance sheets immediately after the first day of all trainings.
-Review these attendance sheets to check actual participants against pre-registered participants; check any outliers against databases to determine whether participants can attend training or not (e.g. have they attended the training before)
-Additional tasks as assigned by Finance Manager, related to procurements, subgrants, and trainings

-Demonstrated, substantial experience with Excel databases and Google spreadsheets;
-Demonstrated ability to follow critical instructions closely and accurately;
-Strong attention to detail;
-Ability to communicate professionally with external partners;
-Ability to work across program teams in a collaborate, professional manner;
-Legally able to work in Ramallah, West Bank;
-Arabic fluency required
-English proficiency required
