Position: Compliance Officer

Reporting into:  Deputy Director - Finance and Operations

Type: Fized Term, Full-time, 35 hours per week 

Location: Gaza 

Salary: ILS 107,700

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps of Lebanon.

The primary purpose of the Compliance Officer role is to safeguard the organization by ensuring comprehensive compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role is crucial in identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks associated with partnerships, suppliers, and vendors. By performing rigorous due diligence and ongoing risk assessments, the Compliance Officer helps maintain the integrity and operational effectiveness of the organization, ensuring that all activities align with legal standards and best practices in risk management.

The ideal candidate will have excellent experience in compliance, risk management, or a related role. A strong understanding of due diligence processes, financial and programmatic risk assessment, and UK charity regulations. Should have  excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. A proficiency in using risk management and compliance software tools. Communication: Clearly conveys information and recommendations in reports and presentations in both English and Arabic.
