Mercy Corps is looking for dynamic and competent people to fill the position of a Compliance Officer in its Ramallah office. See below for position descriptions and requirements:
Compliance Officer - Mercy Corps West Bank/Gaza
Requirements:
-Five or more years of finance or administration management experience with a minimum of three years experience in a non-governmental organization. Prior auditing experience is desirable
-A degree in finance, accounting or a related business field is required.
-Good understanding of major international donor rules and non-profit finance and administrative procedures
-Excellent problem solving skills and ability to ensure smooth process flow while maintaining compliance agency and donor policies.
-Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel
-Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, multi-task, meet deadlines and work cooperatively with a diverse team across several locations.
-Excellent written and verbal English and Arabic language skills.
-Demonstrated communication and coordination and planning abilities.
Responsibilities:
-Ensure all staff are fully aware of donor and internal regulations.
-Stay abreast of changes in applicable donor policies and ensure changes are implemented as required.
-Provide compliance review of procurement and financial transactions, contracts and grants.
-Assist in subgrantee site audits and follow up on all subgrant compliance issues and audits and
document resolutions.
-Maintain reporting and compliance tracking files.
-Prepare for review and process administrative request to donors.
-Assist wiht consolidation of internal and subgrantee information for regular and periodic donor reporting.
-Assist in subgrant close-outs.
