Computer networking Trainer

Introduction:
Palestine Technical University has received a grant from The Ministry of Education and Higher Education through the Tertiary Education project financed by the World Bank and the European Commission, to implement the project of « Enhancing Self- Assessment and Strategic Planning Procedures in Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie « and intends to apply part of this grant for selection and employment of highly qualified computer networking Trainer.

Assignment Objective:
The university is considering the selection of a highly qualified Trainer, to be part of the staff responsible to provide quality standards and hold some workshops or training sessions to ensure that the Project is being implemented according to the submitted and approved Grant Implementation Plan (IP)

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Training the IT staff in the university (about 10 to 20 persons) on computer networking according to the following chapters:
1- An Introduction to Networking
2- Networking Standards and the OSI Model
3-Transmission Basics and Networking Media
4- Network Protocols
5- Networking Hardware
6- Topologies & Access Methods
7- WANs and Remote Connectivity
8-Network Operating Systems and Windows Server 2003- Based Networking
9- Networking with UNIX and Linux
10- Networking with TCP/IP and the Internet
11- Troubleshooting Network Problems
12 Network Security
13- Implementing and Managing Networks

Minimum Requirements:
-A minimum of a Bachelor University degree in any related field
- A minimum of five years of professional experience in computer networking training
-Any professional certificate is extra
- Excellent communication and team work skills.
- Excellent Command of English Language.

Deliverables
- Course outline a week before the course starts
-Completion of 40 contact hour training course.
- Final report including the trainers evaluation , training material – both soft and hard copies-conclusions and recommendation

Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, Tulkarm – Palestine
Time Frame:
The duration of the training is 40 hours. The course will start on 1/11/2009 until 7/12/2009
Contract Type: Lump Sum Contract
