Islamic Relief (IR) is a humanitarian NGO working in Palestine since 1998. Islamic Relief helps the needy people without regard to creed, race, gender, or ethnicity. It works on achieving economic and social welfare through its joint development and emergency programmes with the local community. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancy for its office in Gaza.

Title: Construction projects Manager.
Ref: D-05-2010
Location: Gaza Office
Duration: one year – (full time)

Overall Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Head of Programmes, the Construction projects manager is to be responsible for the overall implementation of construction projects
in Gaza, prepare work plans and time schedules for projects activities. manage and supervise engineering staff in the field of schools, houses, clinics, kindergartens, hospitals, etc., assist the engineering team technically. coordinate with relevant institutions, writing reports to donors, review tender documents, participate in selection of contractors …etc

Candidates must possess the following competencies:
-University degree in Civil or Architectural engineering .
-15 years of related experience as a project manager, preferably in rehabilitation of
schools, houses, clinics, kindergartens, hospitals.
-Preferably working experience at International NGOs.
-Good knowledge of project management, principles and practices.
-A proven record of effective management
-Excellent technical writing.
-Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and MS project.
-Interpersonal skills and good communication skills.
-Fluent English (written and spoken)
