"OXFAM GB – CONSULTANT – "
'' The Improved Access to Markets for Female and Male Small Scale Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Producers in the West Bank Programme" baseline study.
Oxfam Great Britain has begun the implementation of an SDC project, titled ” The Improved Access to Markets for Female and Male Small Scale Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Producers in the West Bank Programme” which is a pro-poor market development programme funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The Programme aims to improve market systems and governance in the agriculture sector, specifically in the fresh fruit and vegetable (FFV) subsector, in the interest of small-scale producers (SSPs) and sharecropping farming communities working in the West Bank, with an ultimate objective of sustainably increasing incomes of SSPs.
Oxfam Great Britain is looking for a team of external consultants/consultancy firm to undertake a project consisting of three main components which are all interconnected and inter-reliant on one another in this program. These three components are:
-Integrated Extension Package & Delivery of On-site Advisory Services
-Capacity Building and Training of Agronomists and Farmers
-Learning/Exchange Visits
The consultant is expected to have several years’ experience working on developing and delivering training courses, especially on issues related to agricultural practices, practical extension services, research, food security, environmental, natural resources and socio-economic development, and achieved post-graduate degree in agricultural engineering, agro-economics, institutional development, agri-business management or other related field. The consultant / consulting firm must also have a strong knowledge of the policy and institutional framework related to sustainable development in the occupied Palestinian Territories.
