Job Offer: External Trainer/Experts

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Prepare training material related to the topic for which the expert has been selected by IECD
-Deliver one or two sessions of training related to the selected topic, according to IECD and Clubs of Entrepreneurs’ agenda

REQUIREMENTS
IECD is looking for highly motivated candidates who match the following requirements:
-To be minimum 25 years old
-To be graduated with a Bachelor or Masters’ degrees (depending on professional experience)
-To have one specialization/field of expertise such as in law, economics, finances, commerce, marketing, communication, geopolitics, etc.
-Skills: good presentation and communication skills, comfortable in public, capacity to adapt to various audiences of beneficiaries, reporting/writing skills
-Additional requirements: to have one-year experience with NGOs or business sectors; to have experience in trainings’ delivery

ABOUT IECD
IECD is a French development organization. With its partners, it constructs environments that allow every person to reveal their talents, build a better future, and become a responsible actor in his/her country.

In the intervention zones of IECD, small informal businesses, artisans and traders represent the main pool of employment and form the principal source of revenue for millions of people. However, these small businesses are fragile because their activities begin spontaneously, by necessity and without the necessary skills, particularly in terms of management. Most of these small businesses last fewer than five years.

 IECD with its partners has put in place a programme of support to very small businesses (VSB) which assists the beneficiaries, heads of small business or start-up entrepreneurs, to use management tools and with the principles of management, primarily through training and a personalized follow-up. The objective is to promote a change in the beneficiaries’ mentality, so that they move from a logic of subsistence to a logic of sustainable development and growth, which is structured and generates revenue. The proposed training allows them to grow in confidence and to become aware of their status as a business owner, to be responsible and able to plan the development of their organization. At the heart of the Management and Service Centers and mobile units, initial training allows for the response to the needs of active entrepreneurs (Basic Management Training- BMT) or those who wish to develop their own business (Start Up Training -SUT).

Following on from the initial training, the beneficiaries have the opportunity to join one of the Entrepreneurs Clubs, where themed evenings, specialized training (management, marketing, accounting-finance and IT) is proposed, personalized advice and access to computers and a library is available. All of these activities allow people to meet, and favor the creation of a network for the beneficiaries who are often professionally isolated.
