"Preparation of Guide & Training on Child Abuse"

QADER for Community Development intends to contract a consultant for the development of a guide on Child Abuse/maltreatment, design and deliver training workshops on the subject. This assignment is part of the project “Social Empowerment & Equality for Persons with Disabilities – SEED” implemented in partnership with the Italian NGO AIPSO, funded by the Italian Cooperation, and co-funded by AISPO.

Purpose of the Assignment:

Develop a guide on child abuse/maltreatment, with special focus on abuse/maltreatment of children with disabilities. The guide should be a useful tool for professionals and practitioners who work with children, especially children with disabilities; including: Social workers, welfare workers, Teachers, counselors, therapists, mothers, caregivers, …etc

Enhance the awareness and capacities of 50-60 professionals and practitioners on child abuse/maltreatment and sexual abuse/maltreatment and exploitation of children with disabilities.

Qualification & Competencies:

The consultant should have the following qualifications & competencies:

Masters degree in Psychology or a combination of other educational background and solid experience in a field of relevance.

At least 5 years of proven experience in working with children, children with disabilities, workers and professionals working with children and children with disabilities.
Previous experience in preparation of similar guides.

Previous experience in designing and delivering training material on subjects related to child abuse/maltreatment, sexual abuse/maltreatment,..etc.
