Position:Content Development Manager
Location: Ramallah, with travel throughout Palestine

Partners for Sustainable Development (PSD) is a Palestinian NGO working towards applying sustainable development approaches in community and economic development. PSD’s programs are implemented through a network of Community Learning and Development Centers (CLDCs) located in Jenin, Salfeet, Nablus, Bethlehem, Hebron and South Hebron. As part of its social development’s education programs and in partnership with a number of international foundations, investment groups, and multi national IT companies, the Palestinian private sector and the Palestinian government, PSD has recently launched the NETKETABi Project. NETKETABi aims to provide some 280,000 learning solutions NETBOOKs through three main components. 1) The Palestinian children and youth ages 6-18 will have access to NETBOOKs. 2) Content development and training that will allow these children and youth acquire new skills that prepare them for a highly competitive world and for knowledge based societies. 3) The integration of formal and informal education through well designed in classroom related activities, community learning and service learning approaches.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
PSD is currently in the process of setting up the content development program both for in classroom activities and after school and extra curricula activities and is looking for a content development expert to assist in this process and lead implementation. The Content Development Manager will provide insights in the development and day-to-day management of content development and implementation activities both in the Palestinian school participants in the NETKETABi Project and the PSD’s CLDCs’ after-school programs and activities.
 
TASKS
-Provide overall supervision and leadership in the design, management and implementation of content development related assignments and activities both in the classroom and PSD’s CLDCs.
-Serve as the primary point person for all content development related donors and partners, where s/he will ensure regular reporting and sharing of information and updates with the component’s partners.
-Develop the content development implementation plan, branding and marking plan, and component indicators and primary and appropriate measurement and evaluation methods.
-Represent PSD’s NETKETABi Project in local, regional and international content related forums where s/he should be able to discuss technical solution alternatives and different approaches to process cost benefit analysis in content development and E-learning.  
-Help build the component team and provide them with necessary trainings Thorough understanding of K-12 curriculum and assessment item creation and assessment item alignment. 
-Bring continuous process improvement towards increasing quality and building new skills sets within the organization.
-Provide analytic insights and regular report to senior management of PSD Be able to work with internal and/or external teams and partners to deliver on key project metrics.
-Ability to identify critical information in business context and organize it in a manner that makes sense to the broad user group, web or UI design

QUALIFICATIONS
-3-5 years of experience managing education projects in a multi donor environment. Strong familiarity with recognized e-learning technical standards.
-Experience with the use of content management systems and learning management systems.
-Excellent spoken and communication skills in Arabic and English Language.
-Sound knowledge of the use of Web technology, technical aptitude, and problem solving skills.
-Proficient computer skills (MS office, PhotoShop, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Web Premiums CS3 or above, etc.)
-Proven ability to handle high-volumes of work and manage multiple projects within tight and sometime shifting deadlines
-BA or MA in Education, Information Technology or any related social science degree.
