Mashvisor is an online platform which provides real estate investors and enthusiasts in the US housing market with tools that can help them easily find and analyze investment properties to land at the most profitable investment opportunities. Mashvisor provides its users with neighborhood and property analytics related to the potential rental income, return on investment, rental expenses, Airbnb occupancy rate, etc. Additionally, Mashvisor provides users with analysis that can help them determine the most profitable rental strategy between traditional rental properties (long-term lease) and Airbnb rental properties (short-term lease).
What are our blogs about?
We write blogs which offer guidance to investors related to investing in Airbnb and traditional real estate properties, understanding and using traditional and predictive analytics, conducting real estate market analysis and investment property analysis, selecing the best real estate investing strategies, beginner and expert guides, etc. We also cover trending topics, like Brexit’s effect on real estate investing in the US, as well as recent and forecast trends in specific real estate markets.
Blogs should be engaging and offer information in an interesting manner – we do not stick to one form of writing, such as formal or technical, but use a combination of styles which are suitable for the content of the blog, in addition to the writer’s own personal touch and style of writing. Our largest consumer demographic is between the ages of 25-35 years.
Our most popular blog to date is:
“Four Things to Consider Before Purchasing an Airbnb Investment Property”

What is required from you?
You do not need to have prior knowledge about real estate investing or any other related subject. None of our writers did. Between doing research, reading, talking to us, and writing, you will soon become an expert like all of our writers. Having said that, you should feel confident with doing research and have excellent writing skills in English.
It’s important to remember that we’re not looking for anyone to reinvent the wheel. At the beginning, most of your content/writing will basically be paraphrasing or summarizing the resources you’ve read, with some added creativity. Initially, we will provide you with relevant resources as needed. Later on, the writing will become easier, and you won’t be as dependent on outside resources – you’ll start coming up with content – and maybe even topics – on your own.
Your blogs should:
- Be 1,000 words and more
- Provide high-quality and useful information
- Be original (not be plagiarized)
- Be well structured
- Not be too generic
- Have keyword density (keywords will - initially - be provided by us)
We are looking forward to getting a sample of your writing, and we need to know the following:
- How long did it take you to do the research and write the sample blog? (you will most likely get faster with time)
- How many blogs can you write per day or per week?
Sample Blog – Write as much as you can (a minimum of 500 words) while timing yourself and then email the sample blog to [email protected].
Choose one of the following topics:
- What are the advantages and disadvantages of short-term and long-term rental properties?
- What are the main methods and metrics used to evaluate a rental property?
Since using the right words (keywords) is a crucial part of the process of writing a good blog, please try to use the following as much as you can in your blog without getting redundant:
- Cap rate
- Cash on cash return
- Occupancy rate
- Buying a rental property
- Real estate analytics
- Real estate investing
- Investment property
- Rental property
- Rental income
- Return on investment
- Cash flow
- Real estate investor
Make sure to research the topic and use reliable sources for the information. You may also use Mashvisor’s blogs to get more familiar with our blog structure and the type of information that we write about.
The blogs will be evaluated based on language, grammar, flow, number of keywords used, and how informative the blog is.
