Coordinator - Job Creation Programme

4-Grade & Salary : LDC Contract Band “H” – S1 –S3, depends on qualifications and experience
1,704.90-2,345.0 JD that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency.
5-Allowances : Dependency Allowances payable and other benefits (Medical Insurance) & Currency Adjustment Factor.

6-Qualifications:
-A Master level university degree in economics, development studies, public/business administration, management, political or social science or other related field.
-At least eight years of experience in management of large scale programmes including at least
three years in a senior supervisory capacity in a large international or governmental organization in developing countries.
-Extensive and relevant experience in project management including programme/project formulation, analysis, monitoring and evaluation, planning and implementation.
-Prior experience in managing a cash-based response programme highly desirable.
-Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic.

Competencies
-Ability to effectively implement programme strategies and manage day-to-day operations of large projects.
-Strong supervision and team building skills; able to effectively work with others in a complex and demanding environment.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills including drafting of project proposals and donor reports.
-Strong problem-solving skills; capacity to work on a wide range of issues.
-Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and heavy pressure.
-Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to operate effectively across organizational boundaries and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people in a
multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience in skills training and job placement schemes.
-Experience in developing and managing livelihood programmes.
-Experience related to building small scale infrastructure, WASH and agriculture programmes.
-Knowledge and understanding of cross cutting issues such as protection, gender and environmental issues an added advantage.
-Possession of a valid driving license.
-The incumbent will be required to travel in UNRWA areas of operations in the West Bank Field.
