uMake is looking for a Creative Marketing Specialist to join our in-house MarComms Team. Reporting to the uMake CMO you will be working closely with our Digital Marketing Specialist and Community Manager. The role could be full time or part time, and as uMake is on the verge of a massive expansion: both figuratively and physically - and it’s an exciting time to be joining the company.
As uMake’s Creative Marketing Specialist your main responsibility is to ensure that uMake hits our growth goals. This could be done in an array of ways, and we strongly encourage you to share and test ideas! With that being said, core tasks include the upkeep of our social media platforms through researching, planning and creating content. Creating content for newsletters, the uMake website, flyers etc., and dabbling into the world of social media advertising.
- Responsible for the upkeep of the uMake social media platforms, content calendar and planner through strategic storytelling and content creation.
- Continuously researching relevant topics and current trends, which will help inspire content creation and lead to testing new ideas and concepts.
- Stay on top of benchmarks, KPIs and numbers to ensure growth targets are met.
- Delivering engaging brand storytelling content across social media, email, website and other marketing channels. Both for day2day and for campaigns.
- Delivering larger content pieces (videos, articles, web content etc.) in agreement with the uMake leadership team.
- Support the Community Team in nurturing the uMake Community by fostering a continuous feedback loop between the digital uMake experience and in-house experience.
- Support the planning, promotion and execution of uMake events.

- Growth mindset and a “I can learn that!” attitude.
- BA in communications, journalism, marketing or business.
- 2 years work experience in the field of marketing (preferably with a focus on digital and social media)
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Arabic.
- Experience working in a performance-driven marketing environment where benchmarks, KPIs and analysis provides a supportive foundation for creativity.
- Experience with content creation: anything from social media to email to website content to articles and/or videos. Having experience with SEO is a bonus!
- Experience working with social media planning and ideally scheduling platforms like Planable (or any social media management tool).
- Experience with photography, filming and/or podcasting, and experience working with corresponding editing software such as: Photoshop, Sketch, In-Design, Canva, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro (or any other post production/editing software)
- Experience setting up and running Facebook ads, Instagram Ads and/or Google Ads.
- Experience with HubSpot or other CRMs / ESPs.
- Experience with event planning and management.
