PURPOSE:

Oxfam seeks to contract skilled daily drivers to support logistics team in fleet management as per Oxfam’s policies and guidelines.

The key objective of the assignment is to ensure safe transportation of Oxfam’s staff and goods, as well as to ensure proper maintenance of vehicles.

Main duties and responsibilites of daily drivers:

• Responsible for the assets in their care; reporting any asset movement, loss or damage to their line manager
• Responsible for the safety and security of passengers and vehicles
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles; fuel level; daily/ weekly vehicle checks; completion of vehicle log books   (Daily fill in the control sheets (km, fuel, etc));
• Report maintenance problems, which are beyond their capacity to their line manager
• Carry out driving responsibilities in accordance with Oxfam policies and in accordance with the local laws
• Load and unload of vehicles in accordance with health and safety measures.
• Guarantee daily cleaning of the interior and exterior of the vehicles.
• Check the stocks of materials of the first aid kit in the vehicles before each exit to the field.
• Carry out a responsible management and driving of the vehicles, respecting traffic rules.
• Keep vehicles’ documents in order.

Other tasks and responsibilities:

Support the Administrative and Logistics team in performing requests related to purchases of materials and services.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar functions; preferabley with INGOs sector.

• Languages: Good Arabic skills (conversation, reading and writing), verbal command of English is preferable.

• Have valid Driver's license.

Working Conditions

This is a casual employment, individuals will be fully responsible on their health and safety.

Daily Rate:

The rate for the daily driver will be 216.15 ILS per day (8hours) including field transportation and communications).
