Overview:
The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nongovernmental organization that has supported democratic institutions and practices in every region of the world for more than three decades. Since its founding in 1983, NDI and its local partners have worked to establish and strengthen political and civic organizations, safeguard elections, and promote citizen participation, openness and accountability in government.
NDI has been present in the Palestinian Territories since 1994, working with Palestinian political parties, civil society organizations, activists, universities, and youth on a variety of issues including advocacy campaigns, message development, political outreach, and the inclusion of women and youth in the political process and decision-making.
NDI West Bank & Gaza is seeking a Part-time Data Clerk. The positon will be based in Ramallah.
Role Purpose:
The data clerk will be responsible for supporting the information management processes to ensure data tracking, documentation, archiving as well as sharing with the relevant team members within the NDI. The data clerk will work under the umbrella of programs; s/he will have a dotted line to the MEL manager. The data clerk will receive attendance sheets, assessments among other types of documents, from university coordinators, regional coordinators and other team members, spread across the areas where the NDI functions; s/he will perform data entry using the tools the NDI provides while ensuring data protection and sharing protocols. s/he will support the programs’ team in their daily operations. The data clerk will report to Senior Program Officer.
Responsibilities
- Archive soft copies of attendance sheets, assessments, and similar documents for regular activities and one-time events along with any other activities, in organized folders.
- Ensure attendance sheets, assessments and similar documents are uploaded on the shared Drive as required.
- Perform data entry, regularly, using Excel/KOBO, ensuring high accuracy of data.
- Ensure following data protection and sharing protocols.
- Support the programs’ team in day-to-day operations and follow up.

Qualifications
- A university student / graduate enrolled in one of the following programs: computer science, accounting, economics, business administration, languages or any other relevant field.
- Excellent skills in data entry.
- Excellent skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Familiar with data entry software and applications like KOBO and Google Forms
- Strong remote-working abilities and self-motivated.
- Team player with high communication skills.
- Interest in youth empowerment/social science/community development/politics is a plus.
