OVERVIEW OF CTG GLOBAL

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION

The objective of this project is to contribute to the successful and sustainable reconstruction of Gaza and relief of the ongoing humanitarian crisis. Its primary aim is to provide legal, financial and technical support to the most vulnerable IDP households with totally destroyed houses, to establish and protect Housing, Land and Property (HLP) rights of IDPs and to promote security of tenure and then with the provision of cash grants and technical support, to reconstruct quality and sustainable homes.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Role objective:

Provide necessary technical support and assistance through the reconstruction process to beneficiaries.The main responsibilities of the Data Entry Clerk are to maintain the Self-Build Module (SBM) database by entering new and updated information and creating reports.

Expected output:

The main responsibilities of the Data Entry Clerk are to:

-Preparing source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information;
-Establishing entry priorities;
-Verifying data entered into computer by checking printouts for errors and correcting as required;
-Monitoring the system for malfunctions;
-Securing information by completing data base backups;
-Maintaining operations by following policies and procedures;
-Reporting needed changes;
-Maintaining customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential;
-Propose workable solutions to keep-up for the delay
-Report all errors, omissions, discrepancies and deficiencies to PM and record them into the SBM
-Actively support the PM and all relevant stakeholders with the supply of data and information according to project needs
-Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
-Perform other functions as may be assigned by the PM

Project reporting:
Into Self-Build Module (SBM) database on a daily-basis

Team management:
He/ she will be working along with other team members

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

Education:
-Certificate in Post-secondary education, Administration or other relevant discipline, is an advantage and completion of Secondary School education is essential

Work experience:

-Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable relevant Administration experience.
Geographical experience:
-Minimum of 4 years of experience in Middle East with local experience in Gaza is an advantage.

Languages:
-Fluency in Arabic and English are essential.

Key competencies:

-Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion concerning case information;
-Detail oriented;
-Comfortable working with basic keyboarding and computer navigation;
-Ability to type accurately and fast under pressure
-Knowledge of word processing software and systems (i.e. Microsoft Office);
-Ability to multi-task and work in an environment where there may be frequent distractions;
-Ability to work in a team
-Regularly provide helpful feedback and advice to others in the team
-Ability to work effectively under limited supervision, high stress and rapidly changing situations and circumstances
-Good communications and mediation skills to build strong relationships with internal and external actors
-Pro-active and problem solving approach
-Good time keeper and able to deliver according to time and quality standards
-Remains calm, in control and good humoured even under pressure
-Previous experience in data entry is required;

Other relevant information:
-Data Entry management skills.
-Ability to analyze and solve problems;
-Ability to work as a team member in multi-national and cultural environment.
-Strong professional oral communication, writing and analytical skills, including the development of reports, oral presentations, and technical/persuasive documents.
-Experience in UN or NGOs is highly preferred.
-Applicant must live in Gaza
-Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English
-The incumbent must be mentally and physically fit
-The incumbent must have a clean criminal record
-Hold a valid Palestinian driving license
